This Privacy Policy describes how Obliqua (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Obliqua 3D Screenshot Maker website and application (the “Service”). The Service is currently operated from Spain. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by the team behind Obliqua from Spain. For privacy requests, you may contact us at support@obliqua.app or through the in-app Feedback feature. If we later publish a formal operator name, registered address, or tax identifier, that information will supplement this policy.
2. Information we collect
Account and authentication. If you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase Auth) processes sign-in with providers such as Google or GitHub. We may store your user identifier, email address, and profile metadata needed to run your account.
Images and creative data. When you upload images or use the editor, processing may occur locally in your browser. If you use cloud gallery or related Pro features, we store your images and associated metadata (for example, thumbnails, titles, or scene settings) in our cloud storage so you can access them across devices.
Presets and preferences. Saved presets and similar settings may be stored locally and/or in our database when you are signed in, depending on the feature.
Payments. If you subscribe to Pro, Stripe processes payment details. We receive subscription status, customer identifiers, and limited billing-related information from Stripe, not your full card number, which Stripe handles directly.
Feedback. If you submit feedback, we collect the content you provide, and may use anti-abuse services (such as Cloudflare Turnstile) to reduce spam; those services may receive technical data such as IP-derived signals as described in their policies.
Technical and usage data. Like most web services, our hosting and infrastructure providers may log data such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, device information, and request metadata for security, debugging, fraud prevention, analytics, and reliability.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service;
- Monitor usage, reliability, and feature adoption so we can improve the Service;
- Authenticate users and sync cloud content for signed-in users;
- Process subscriptions and communicate about billing where necessary;
- Detect abuse, fraud, and security issues;
- Respond to your requests and feedback;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar regions)
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on: (a) performance of a contract with you when we provide the Service you request; (b) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, testing, and improving the Service, balanced against your rights; (c) consent where we ask for it, such as for non-essential cookies or optional marketing if those are introduced; and (d) compliance with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We share information with service providers who process data on our behalf, including:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage for accounts and cloud content;
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management;
- Cloudflare (or similar) — hosting, security, and bot protection where configured.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer (for example, a merger), subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other mechanisms required by applicable law.
7. Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law. Account and cloud content are generally kept until you delete them or close your account, subject to backup and technical retention windows. If we discontinue the Service, we may delete or anonymize stored data in accordance with our retention obligations and legitimate operational needs. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained longer.
8. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the Service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@obliqua.app or through the in-app Feedback option. You may also manage some data in the app where supported, for example by deleting saved cloud images.
If you are located in Spain or the EEA and believe our processing does not comply with applicable law, you may also complain to your local supervisory authority. In Spain, this is typically the Agencia Espanola de Proteccion de Datos (AEPD).
10. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where required by law. Our data flows may evolve as features are added, removed, or reconfigured.
12. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at support@obliqua.app or through the Feedback feature in the app.
